About

In 2005, my first son was born. Almost immediately after his birth, I became alarmed by all the dangers surrounding his environment–dioxin in his diapers, pesticides in the food I ate that crossed into his breastmilk, chemicals in the plastic toys he received as gifts, preservatives and possible thimerosal in his vaccines, and the list goes on. I slowly began researching various subjects surrounding primarily his health (this is what a scientist turned stay-at-home-mom does in her spare time!), but also that of my husband and myself as well. I have finally decided to summarize some of these health issues I’ve become so passionate about in this blog. Soon to come will be articles on phthalates, BPA, cloth diapers, VOCs, pesticides, organic food, DHA supplements, processed food, plastic toys, air quality, cleaning solutions, and more.

  1. Hi Sophia, Very nice looking blog. You will have to
explain to your “old” father however, how to use it!
Too many questions for now….. :) But I appreciate
your commitment to the health and well-being of
your family. When I figure this out better, I will make
some more comments. Well done! God’s grace
    and peace. Love ya, Dad
