My babies are California Babies

I’m a serious minimalist when it comes to hair and body products for my children.  We use hardly anything to keep them clean, which is really impressive for those that know what a germaphobe I can be.  Other than regular hand-washing with bar soap (no synthetic fragrances or SLS), my children get a bath every other day and we only use a small amount of California Baby Shampoo and Bodywash on them.  We use it on their hair and privates, but never on their skin.  After the bath, they occasionally get body lotion, but only on dry skin areas.  We have been doing this for almost 5 years, ever since we stopped using the sample bottle of Johnson & Johnson no tears shampoo we got from the hospital when my first child was born.  Initially I was taken aback by the cost of California Baby.  Eight and a half ounces of shampoo is more than $10!!  However, the bottle lasts through our two kids for about 6 months and the super gentle formula gets good ratings on the Skin Deep cosmetic database (Super Sensitive is rated 2 and the tea tree and lavendar scent my husband likes is a 1).  Twenty-five dollars a year for peace of mind is not much!  I highly recommend giving the product a try.
