Exfoliation

I enjoy exfoliating my skin.  But lately, this has become more difficult.  For one, I find many ingredients in exfoliating products that I don’t want on my skin (parabens, synthetic fragrances, etc.) and two, many of the products are just so dang expensive!  What’s a girl to do?  Well, I’ve opted for super cheap, but apparently effective, alternatives.  I’ve tried using salt, baking soda, or sugar and mixing it with my cleansing gel to form an abrasive paste.  I use this about once a week.  My skin seems really soft and well-exfoliated afterward, and my pores less clogged overall.  And you certainly can’t argue with the price!

You can wet your face and use sugar, salt or soda to exfoliate without mixing it with cleansing gels. Just the wet skin alone will work.

    Cornmeal works too.
