Lately, we haven’t been feeling like cooking dinner every night. But I still don’t want to eat processed food. So we’ve been making batches of whole wheat pizza dough and freezing them. We also freeze some marinara sauce (tomatoes, garlic, basil, and salt). Both freeze well and it takes only about 20 minutes to prepare a fresh pizza with the ingredients once they’re thawed. We top it with whatever is in the fridge. For this pizza, we used green olives, grape tomatoes from our garden, and goat cheese. Yum! The kids love eating pizza regularly and I love that it’s made with 100% whole wheat (the recipe doesn’t call for it, but we did it anyways), wholesome ingredients, and no preservatives. Try saving your crusts and topping them with honey for dessert.
