Pilates

I’ve been taking a pilates class at my gym off and on for over a year now.  I love it!  It’s relaxing and challenging all at once.  I never was a big fan of yoga because I found it a bit boring (plus I’m just not that flexible).  But in pilates, you are moving rather than holding poses so it keeps my interest.  The exercises have many modifications, such that both the 65 year old man next to me and I are both challenged.  I’ve rented several pilates DVDs too and while I haven’t found any I love, I do recommend trying some if your gym doesn’t offer a pilates class.  The abdominal exercises are especially good!
