Thanks for the article. I am undecided on the cloth versus disposable issue, and not in a hurry to make a decision as we do not have kids yet. The health reasons aside, in the article you posted an activist group for cloth diapers was quoted to refute the argument about the use of water and energy to wash cloth diapers. Is there a source out there that has no interest in this issue that has determined which is worse, the solid waste problem of disposables, or the energy/water use and waste problem of cloth?

I would love to see an unbiased study on the true environmental impact of cloth diapers! Unfortunately, why would someone who has no interest in the issue fund such a study? I think you have to go with what makes the most sense–that a reusable product is better for the environment than a disposable one. If not, maybe we all need to start wearing plastic underwear!
