Water bottles made with plastic #1 are fairly safe, but they can only be used once. Reusable water bottles are often made with polycarbonate which contains bisphenol-A that can leach into the contents of the bottle. Glass water bottles don’t leach chemicals, but you can’t take them to the gym. The alternative? A metal bottle! Sigg makes quite a variety of bottles, from children’s bottles to sporty bottles. They are made of a single piece of aluminum, then coated with a taste-neutral, food-compatible enamel. Bottles are recyclable at the end of their lifetime.
